Shining Lil Nic won the Hackamore class at the State Fair
He also won the CRCA Open Derby in pueblo and was the Open Hackamore Champion.

Summer 2007 News:

We are happy to have Amelia Newcomb helping us with our horses. She is a very accomplished Dressage rider and a cowgirl. Amelia has a background in Natural Horsemanship with my friends Buck Brannaman, Mindy Bower and Larry Flemming. We are getting her ready to show our Reined Cowhorses. Amelia recently purchased my Oldenburg, Trump, that I raised, and I am very excited to watch them rise to the top of the Dressage world.

Winter 2006 News:

Our 3 Year old Stallion Shining Lil Nic placed 6th at the Snaffle bit Futurity at Reno this September 17th. With Kevin Stallings riding Nic, we were so excited to watch the pair. Nic earned $6,000 for his show record. Nic also finished 2nd at the CRCA Futurity in Pueblo this September 8th. Nic added $2,500 to his record there. Nic and Kevin are now on their way to the NRHA Futurity at Oklahoma City. Nic will be staying with Kevin in Arizona for another year for the Derbies, then he will come home for me to show and to stand at stud. We are so pleased with him!

I was excited to show my new mare Lean With Mia (pictured right) at the Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno. I'd had Mia 3 weeks before my first time showing at Reno. We placed 8th in the Bridle and won $1,060 towards Mia's show record. She is an awesome horse!

Pictured at left is an exciting addition to the ranch, our new two-rein mare. Her name is Lean with Mia, sired by World Champion sire Lean With Me. Janiejill will be showing her at the upcoming CRCA Futurtiy in Pueblo, CO and at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Horse Show in Reno, NV.
|
On the left below is our new yearling stallion, Chic Olena Nic, purchased from Carolyn Kupka. He's by multiple Hall of Fame sire Smart Chic Olena and out of the reining and cow horse performer Dig A Lil Nic. The new weanling on the right is Peppys Gota Spark, by Shining Spark and out of Little Jalapeppy, by Peppy San Badger. We're excited to see how these two develop!

Winter 2005 News:
Congratulations to Amber Lopez on the purchase of her new pony TT Blue Angel. Amber is 8 years old and will be showing Angel at Hunter/Jumper shows. They are a very cute Pair! Other pony news is that our new German Sport Pony finally arrived from Indiana. She is 7 months old and gorgeous. We will be breeding these beautiful Ponies!In showing news, JanieJill and Shiners Spumanti (better known as Marilyn) made the trip down the Oklahoma City for the AQHA World Show and were not disappointed. JanieJill and Marilyn made the Finals in the very competitive Amateur Working Cowhorse and finished 14th.
In sales, we have a few new offerings. Wishes, our Hanoverian/TB mare, is now for sale for $15,000. She has Dressage and Jumper training and can be seen on our Mare Power page.

Also for sale is Goliath, this beautiful Shire/Arabian/Thoroughbred colt by Yorktown and out of our mare, After The Dance. He is a full brother to David, who sold on the web site. See him on the Sale Barn page.

Autumn 2005 News:
Featured below are pictures from this year's foal crop by our herd sire, Blue Fancy Dan. Blue has been producing beautiful red roans, blue roans, grullas, and everything in between! We have been crossing him on some of our Thoroughbred and Warmblood mares and the results are exciting! You can see more of his get on the Sale Barn page as well.

Below left: A red roan colt by Blue Fancy Dan, out of our good registered Thoroughbred mare, Fifth Avenue. He's named Eddie 105, as he was born on the hottest day of summer!

Pictured at right is the result of a much anticipated cross, a cute palomino stud colt called Shiners Dign It, by Diggers Rest and out of Shiners Spumanti. Spring has sprung at the Diamond Double T Ranch! We have some new foals on the ground, and the 2005 show season is underway. We're looking forward to the future successes of Diamond Double T Ranch horses in the show pen. On that note, congratulations to Michelle Sharp of Ohio on her purchase of TT Alota Blue, aka Mac. He will have a great home with her!

This is JanieJill's birthday present, a pretty grulla filly by ranch stallion Blue Fancy Dan and out of Miss Fortune Cowgirl. We call her Cowgirls Got The Blues! You can find out more about this filly's parents on the Mare Power page.

Pictured at right is another gorgeous new addition, Janies Gotta Gun, by PG Rey Gun and out of Smokin Nine Oh. This sorrel filly's parents are both champion reined cow horses, so she has the blood to go far! You can learn more about this filly's dam here, or check out her fancy sire here.

Yet another cute addition! At right is Make Mine Silk, affectionately known as 'Soy Boy'. He's out of our mare Make Mine Milk and by our ranch stallion, Blue Fancy Dan. You can learn more about this filly's dam and sire here.
We are sad to announce that Fast Lady Bee, one of our broodmares, passed away on March 16, 2005.
The two Steve Mecum Wade Tree saddles that were offered for sale in 2004 have been sold. Thank you for your interest!

The 2005 show season has been good to the Diamond Double T Ranch already! We've been blessed with successes in the Ranch Versatility and Reined Cow Horse events. Some of our recent accomplishments are:
JanieJill Tointon and Shiners Spumanti (Marilyn):
- won the Gold Rush AQHA Circuit award for Amateur Working Cowhorse
- won the Denver Stock Show AQHA Ranch Versatility competition under one judge, finished 5th overall under both judges.
- earned AQHA ROM in Ranch Versatility
- finished 2004 as AQHA Ranch Versatility High Point Senior Horse in the nation
- finished 15th out of 55 competitors in Non Pro Bridle at the 2005 N
